The first stores-within-in-store will open in May and will feature these retailers (you can also see video of the boutiques below):
- The Candy Store, based in San Francisco,
- The Cos Bar, an Aspen, Colo.-based cosmetic shop that also has an Edina location (the site is under construction)
- Polka Dog Bakery, based in Boston
- The Privet House, a Warren, Conn.-based accessories store (can't find site, but here's a bit of information on the store)
- The Webster, a Miami-based clothing store.
The companies will sell their products at Target stores and online for six weeks and then be replaced by another round of boutiques, The New York Times reports.
